Production Cycle

  • Production cycle means the time taken to complete the product manufacturing.
  • Production cycle starts with the raw materials and ends with the finished product. 


Production Order :

  • Production order is an order used to issued an order with in a company to produce a specific quantity of a material with in a certain period of time.
  • Production order specifies the which material is to be produced , where it is to be  produced, which operations are required to do product and on which date the production is take place.It also tells the order cost.



Work In Progress :

  • Work in progress also called as "work-in-process " or "Goods in process".
  • Work in progress means a company partially finish the goods and waiting in a queue for fabrication or another process.  

Just-in-time (JIT) :

  • JIT production is a concept to reduce work in process with respect to a continuous configuration of product.

Just in sequence (JIS) :

  • JIS  is a similar concept with respect to a scheduled variety in sequence of configurations for products.
